Drakona Mechanica -Film-

This animation shows the evolution of a mechanical creature from a simplistic form into an advanced form. The creature starts out as "pythonis motorius",a snake-like being, which then evolves into "canis machinus", a canine-shaped animal, and with the final evolution he becomes "drakona mechanica", a dragon-like creature.

This animation has a steampunk style and theme to it. The creature, in all of his forms, is created out of bicycle parts. If you look closely you can identify most of them, like the chains and the breaks and the handles. This animation only took about two weeks to complete from concept to finish, and is not nearly as polished as it could be. There are things that could be fixed, but generally I am pretty satisfied with it as is. Also, this project was done back in 2006.

On another note, I used a brush preset for the background landscape, but I cannot for the life of me remember where I downloaded it. If you recognize it, please do tell me so I can give due credit.

The music is a royalty-free soundtrack that I downloaded from Freeplaymusic (one of the sites suggested by dA where you can get free music for your films). The track was called "The Battle".
